I find this to be somewhat amusing. But I guess this makes up for the iPhone and Blackberry ads I see on Bing and MSN
This is a sign that was displayed at the TeaBag protest today in Washington D.C., according to Andrew Sullivan's blog. Is there an equivalent to Poe's Law for politics? If not, I think we need one.

According to that little thingy on the campus shuttle I am on it's 104 degrees right now.you probably cannot tell from the picture, but it's also partly cloudy. Was I secretly tranported to Florida or Louisiana without my knowledge or something ? Sent from my Windows® phone.
I cannot get this song out of my head. I can't believe I had never heard of this band before this weekend.

I never really was much of a fan of Michael Jackson while growing up. But as I have gotten older, I think there a few things that have made me appreciate him more than I used to. One of these things is that my work gave me a free Zune Pass. This means that if I hear one song that I like, I can immediately go and download an artist's entire catalog. I never thought I would be amenable to getting DRM'ed music, but the Zune Pass totally changed my mind on this, and of course getting it for free doesn't hurt either. But after my year long pass ends, I definitely plan on re-upping for another year. But last year on election night, I went to The Stranger's election night party, and right at the moment that Barack Obama was projected to be our next president, on came the Michael Jackson song "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough". Here is the video I took at that electric, emotional moment: This moment right here, plus the ability to go get what ever I wanted of his music, made me a Michael Jackson fan. Also, later that night I became a Journey fan when I was part of the following impromptu dance party in the middle of the street:

Up until now, I haven't seen any real compelling reason to get a Twitter account. But King County Metro recently set up a Twitter page in order to let people know about service interruptions during adverse weather conditions. Considering that they seem to have problems updating their web site with this information (although they seem to do a better job of it than Sound Transit), and considering that MyBus and OneBusAway do not work when there is a re-route, I finally signed up for an account. Anyways, here is my account: http://twitter.com/tiff_seattleAdd me or don't.
There are reports that NASA has detected methane on Mars and that they will release these results tomorrow. How great would it be to have the discovery of life outside of Earth during our lifetime? We could be getting very close to discovering something very exciting. The implications of such a find would be so awesome. :)
OK I know I have been doing a lot of these picture posts with relatively little to say these days on LJ, but I guess that's what happens when you get as consumed by your job that I have been lately. But anyways, I just wanted to share this because I think it shows how awesome my new neighborhood is. What you can't tell without having been there, is that this is actually 1 in the morning, and the people had cocktails, and the apartment building on the left was blasting music out onto the street. So to sum it up, yes Toto we have DISCO SNOW PARTIES in my beautiful little corner of the city. How cool is that?!
